Game Drives

Game-drives tend to be the principal means of going about spotting wildlife, and are likely to comprise a great deal of your safari – so it goes without saying that this aspect of your experience is an especial point of focus for us. We believe the way to get the most out of your time is that everyone is furnished with their own exclusive vehicle, and private spotter and guide – automatically included in our rates.

The effect of this is profound, because it makes you the captain of your ship, and the master of your destiny – you can do what you like, when you like… And you can change your mind as you go along, with no one to answer to but yourself.

We make an excellent picnic breakfast and lunch, tasty enough to justify eating out anyway – but early-morning starts tend to catch the daily activity that takes place before the sun climbs high and renders the animals lethargic. After a few hours of exploring to work up your appetite, your guide will pick a scenic spot under a tree and lay out a feast for you that will alter your concept of al fresco dining forever.

An all-day drive can also be well worth a try: it unfolds the possibility of roaming further afield, and covering some of the diverse landscapes around and about. You can stay out from dawn til dusk, or simply see where the day takes you and come home when you’re ready – the choice is always yours.
