Chris began his career as a professional safari guide in South Africa 15 years ago, and birding, tracking, and reading animal behaviour fast became his greatest joys in the field. He now leads and guides safaris in Southern and East Africa, and his passion for the industry has motivated his involvement with the development and training of aspiring guides in South Africa, Kenya and Tanzania.
His all-round love of nature, and his multi-dimensional skill-set – from tracking to observing wildlife in its natural form – has always left clients with a new and deepened understanding of Africa, its beauty and its people.
Particularly, his unique talent for imparting his knowledge and enthusiasm sets him apart, and he has recently begun partnering with Alex Walker to conduct the training of Serian’s award-winning guiding team. Chris makes the wilderness into an endlessly fascinating classroom, and time with him is always both enriching and enthralling.
