James is one of our dynamic Mara guides. He joined the Serian family in 2011 after completing his guiding course at Koyiaki Guiding School.
In 2013, he was Serian’s first guide to become a silver level guide. This is such a fantastic achievement, and now he is preparing himself to achieve the highest level of guiding qualifications here in Kenya, the gold. To achieve such a qualification, one must choose a subject, like a thesis. James’ focus will be on the relationship between Tawny eagles and Bateleur eagles.
James believes that the single most important thing – besides giving our clients a trip of a lifetime – is educating the community and the children of the future on conservation, the utilization of what we have and the carrying capacity of the land for both wildlife and livestock.
